Meet gorgeous baby Zachary, aged just 3 weeks, the pride and joy of his parents Louisa and Terry. I just love it when newborn babies smile in their sleep and was lucky to capture some of Zachary’s smiles. His expressions when awake were also adorable, from blowing kisses to big yawns, here are some of my favourites:

Following our pregnancy photo session I went back to Tina and Billy’s last week to photograph their gorgeous newborn baby. This kind of session is dangerous for me as it makes me feel so broody! Only a few days old, baby T was a perfect model: so alert for the first half of the session and then he went to sleep and looked so peaceful on his parents’ bed.

Katie and Karl placed the winning bid for this photography package at a charity auction for Grove House, a great charity which provides care and support for cancer patients and their families.

This baby A is only two weeks old and is the most peaceful baby I ever photographed. He was just relaxed and content posing for me and looking gorgeous, then cried for half a second and fell into a deep sleep: the perfect newborn model!

I would like to share a few photos from my latest “Bump to Baby” sessions with Becky, Chris and their beautiful daughter M who was just a few days old. Becky and Chris were so calm and relaxed they made both sessions a real pleasure. As always with newborn shoots I was so excited to meet them for the second time and meet their little girl.

Niki called me a little while ago to organise a session with her newborn baby and her gorgeous dog. I always enjoy photographing the family pets and although big dogs and newborn babies don’t always mix too well I was really impressed with Niki’s dog’s gentleness with baby C despite being a baby herself at just 10 months.

Alison contacted me just last week to get some photos of her newborn baby boy with his cousins who were traveling down from Scotland for the weekend. Luckily I had just had a cancellation for last Saturday so we were able to do a photo session. Baby R was very alert and expressive, totally adorable. His cousins aged 12 and 5 were brilliant with him, very patient as they were getting poked and punched by R’s little hands.

I am always very excited to meet newborn babies a few weeks after doing the pregnancy photo shoots and today was no exception! It was a real pleasure to see Marisha again with her husband Mike and their new arrival baby A. Only two weeks old and very alert, she’s such a lovely baby and I get the feeling she’s going to be a real daddy’s girl. Here are a few shots from this morning’s session:

Today’s blog entry is about a shoot I did on Friday with baby E (just 12 days old!) and big brother F. Their parents Gary and Vicki are such a nice couple and the session was very relaxed. When I arrived 16 month old F was having his midday nap so we started with some nice newborn shots in the master bedroom.

When F woke up he wasn’t sure about me at first but he warmed up in no time and before you know it he was showing off for the camera, playing on mum and dad’s bed. He was so much fun to photograph with his big blue eyes, what a cutie!
