Pregnancy photo sessions are amongst my favourite type of sessions: slow paced, calm and serene. Here we are waiting for Sophie and Chris’ baby due… tomorrow! Here are some photos of the beautiful Sophie, and of course I cannot wait to meet their baby.

Pregnancy session, toddler included!

Photographing toddlers is one of the most fun part of my job, of course they are all different but for the most part they are busy busy busy, certainly far too busy to pose! They therefore present me with a great opportunity for some “lifestyle portraits” where I can capture some action shots and interaction with the parents, and this session was no exception: little J enjoyed collecting a few objects around the room (the venetian blind rod, a pencil, the TV remote, his mum’s wedding ring) and made it clear he wasn’t going to give them up so easily…

This session is the first half of a bump to baby package, watch this space for some newborn pictures soon as Kelly is due in just a couple of weeks!

Pregnancy photo session in Abbots Langley

Actually, I should have called this one “little boy steals the show in Abbots Langley”!

It wasn’t the first time I photographed little Joe who is now 14 months old. I first met his parents Thiana and Jon for a pregnancy session as they were expecting their first baby and had the pleasure to photograph Joe as a newborn baby. Now Joe is about to become a big brother, Thiana and Jon contacted me again to do a “Bump to Baby” session for their second baby.

The first bump to baby session was all about mum, well this one is all about Joe! He loved the camera and gave me some gorgeous smiles and cheeky expressions. I can’t wait to meet his little sister when she comes along next month.

Oh and just for fun, Thiana just sent me a photo of me photographing the super model!

Becky and Chris were so calm and relaxed they made both sessions a real pleasure. As always with newborn shoots I was so excited to meet them for the second time and meet their little girl.

Pregnancy Photography in Stevenage

One of the things I really love about my job is that no two shoots are the same. I take the photographs in people’s homes, in their own environment, and I love the variety and the challenge of producing the best possible images for my customers. Last week I had the pleasure to meet body-art lovers Kim and Richard.

Kim is only a few weeks away from giving birth, looks beautiful and I really wanted to show off her tattoos. Here are some of my favourites from this shoot, including some posing smiles from their cute dog.

The bump to baby session are often booked by first time parents but it’s always really nice when there are older siblings involved too! Here are some photos from last week’s fun session with Ruth from Mishmash Music and her family as they are expecting their second child. What a treat to photograph Bump and his big brother’s big bright eyes! The skylight in the colourful family room provided some lovely light for a really natural look.
