Here is another session from last month, two lovely children aged 10 months and 2.5 years. Their mum was mainly after some portraits of her little girl but understandably big brother A. also wanted a piece of the action!

This session was a surprise birthday present from Karen to her husband Tim. I was really pleased to get plenty of good shots of their lovely daughter H as Karen had warned me she was normally very camera shy. Baby brother J, on the other hand, loves to pose and spent his time observing me with his big blue eyes or playing “row, row, row your boat” with his sister – plenty of great photo opportunities!

I had so much fun on this session, 6 year old A and her 4 year old brother O made me feel very welcome from the moment I arrived at their home. We played hide and seek around the playhouse, they tried to speak French to me and I made them laugh by singing some silly French songs :-)

I would like to share a few photos I took this morning of my friend Jo’s family. The children were super enthusiastic about the session and such a pleasure to photograph! I am so pleased I had the opportunity to do a family portrait session in the bluebells this year, in the little wood just by Ashridge.

It’s not the first time I photograph this family so you may have recognised 4 year old S and his cute sister E from previous sessions (6 in total!) – it is always a pleasure to see how much the children have grown and how their personality develop, having followed them for years.

Last month I had the pleasure to meet Chelsea and her two beautiful children in their stunning Kings Langley home. I had a lovely time playing with the children, cheeky A aged 2 and her handsome brother T aged 4. They enjoyed showing me their toys, dressing up and we even had a game of hide and seek around mummy and daddy’s giant bed.

I love coming back to families and capturing the children’s features and personality as grow from one photo shoot to the next. I photographed this lovely family last year when little brother W was only a couple of weeks old and big sister E was just 2. She was already a pro with the camera then and this year she didn’t disappoint! She was full of cheeky smiles and even her brother turned on the charm for me, what a treat!

Tania and Harry booked a session with me after a getting a recommendation on the St Albans NCT egroup (a great resource for local parents by the way!). Their children aged 3 years and 9 months are just gorgeous and so good with the camera!

The weather wasn’t great so we made the most of the indoor light and then ventured out into the garden for a few outdoors shot.

I am very pleased to share some photos I took last weekend for my neighbour Kate. I remember a little while ago she told me “I wish I could freeze my family in time right now” and now I completely understand what she means: her children aged 6, 9 and 10 are just great and interact so well together, making the photo shoot really fun.

Mandie received a gift voucher for a photo session last Christmas and I was really looking forward to this shoot – it is a little bit different from what I usually do as Mandie’s son and daughter are young adults. The session was a breeze: no tricks or bribes required to get my models to pose for me this time ;)
