Clare’s husband Kirk got in touch with me earlier this year to organise a photo session as a present for Clare. I was delighted to finally meet Clare’s family as she had taken part in my photography course last year. I had seen so many photos of her boys, but never go to meet them in the flesh! I really enjoyed spending the morning with them and I followed them on a stroll to Verulamium Park. We stopped at the Inn on the Park for refreshments before going back home for a bit of the boys’ favourite board game: Monopoly! I did feel sorry for Dad as he landed on his son’s Mayfair hotel… Family photo session in Verulamium Park

Verulamium Park

Even if you’ve lived in St Albans all your life you might not recognise this part of Verulamium Park! The boys had a great time running ahead and there were so many lovely photos of them it was hard to choose which ones to showcase – as you might guess by this lovely lot!Family photo session in Verulamium ParkFamily photo session in Verulamium Park A refreshment stop is all part and parcel of being a children’s photographer  – all that running around and posing for the camera is thirsty work! I think the images taken in the Inn on the Park are enchanting and capture the boy’s individual characters.Family photo session in Verulamium ParkGetting the boys to play Monopoly was a fantastic way for them to relax, be themselves and to capture in photographs their true spirit – and a slice of typical family life. They loved it  – and now the game is immortalised in photos for time to come. Family photo session in Verulamium Park All in all, a great photoshoot and a very touching present from Kirk to Clare which will be something all four of them can treasure for years to come.
